CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JSKA-GB TEAM:

The JSKA-GB team participated in the Six-Nations Cup in Thun, Switzerland in November 22nd-23rd. They reached the finals but unfortunately lost to the host nation on the count back rule. An excellent demonstration of Jitte was carried out by members of the JSKA-GB kata team

BSKI will now be known as the JSKA-GB

At the AGM of 5th January, the Executive Council of the British Shotokan Kyogi, headed by Charles Gidley sensei, agreed to a full change over to the Japan Shotokan Karate Association (Great Britain). Both associations have been running side by side to date but the unanimous decision was made to concentrate fully on the JSKA-GB under the technical guidance in the UK of Charles Gidley sensei and his Executive. All Dan grades will be registered Japan and all JSKA-GB Clubs will use the JSKA in their dojo titles, e.g. Heywood JSKA
